La Tofonera’s own village. Vimbodí i Poblet lies on the northern slopes of the Prades Mountains, in the south-west of the Conca de Barberà, and its municipality includes Poblet Monastery and much of the Poblet forest. A quiet village with a glassmaking tradition, perfect for exploring the area on foot, by bike or by car.

Poblet Monastery
A Cistercian monastery founded in 1150 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991. Its Royal Pantheon holds the tombs of kings such as James I and Peter the Ceremonious, and a community of monks still lives there. Just 4 km from the house.
Poblet Natural Area
Protected forest at the foot of the Prades Mountains and the source of the Francolí river, with the Trinitat and Titllar reserves, walking and mountain-bike trails, the Pena viewpoint and picnic areas such as Font del Boyo and Pont del Salt Vell.
Poblet’s castles and granges
Milmanda and Riudabella, former granges of the abbey, can be seen from the trails (they are privately owned).
Glass Museum and Furnace
Historic pieces and live glassblowing: glass made the village famous in the first half of the 20th century.
